The Braided Bandit Cowl provides the convenience and warmth of a cowl, with the style and flow of a shawl. This is an adventurous beginner knit pattern worked both flat and in the round, incorporating several unique stitch techniques, including Petal Stitch, Center Double Decrease, and a Braided Cable I created for this design.
Yarn:
The pattern requires 385y (352m) of Fingering weight yarn. You will need an additional 30y (28m) of yarn for the gauge swatch.

Needles & Notions:
Size 8 .US/5.0mm 16” circular needles (or size needed to meet gauge)
Darning needle
4 stitch markers.
Optional: cable needle.
Finished Size: Neck: 6.25" (16cm) high, 22" (56cm) around at cast on edge; Front: 22" (56cm) long, 17" (43.5cm) at widest point
