Your Questions, Answered

  • I’m Beth, a knitting pattern designer and instructor based in San Francisco. I focus on helping makers build their knitting skills through clear, straightforward instructions and detailed tutorials. Whether I’m writing a pattern or teaching a seminar, my goal is to give you the tools and confidence to create high-quality, polished knitwear.

  • Most of my designs focus on anatomical fit and advanced construction rather than standard, generic shapes. I specialize in methods like the Double Gusset and Diamond Gusset to create better arch shaping and a more comfortable fit for different foot shapes. While I love diving into the architecture of a good sock, you’ll find that same level of detail and support in all my patterns, including intricate lace and cabled accessories like the Arcade Shadows scarf.

  • You bet your tuchus I am! I am available for both virtual and in-person teaching engagements. I specialize in topics such as cuff down sock construction, arch shaping, and cable techniques. To discuss your guild’s needs or a specific event schedule, please reach out via the contact form.

  • I am always looking for detail-oriented knitters to help ensure the technical accuracy of my new designs. Test calls are announced through my email newsletter and on my discord server. If you enjoy knitting along with a group, providing clear feedback on fit and instructions, and are able to knit on a timeline, I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter to be notified of upcoming tests.

  • If you’ve checked the blog and YouTube tutorials but still need assistance, the best way to reach me is via the contact form. Please include the name of the pattern and the specific section where you are stuck. I strive to respond to all pattern inquiries within 48 hours, Monday through Friday (note that I may not respond to inquiries submitted on Friday until the following work week).

  • I take the accuracy of my patterns seriously and appreciate your help in maintaining high-quality patterns. If you believe you’ve found an errata, please use the contact form and include the pattern name, the size you are knitting, and the specific row or stitch count in question. If a correction is needed, I will update the pattern files and notify all previous purchasers so you always have the most up-to-date version.
